Thank you for your interest in the Stop Diabetes Movement (SDM)!
Sewa TT in collaboration with Yoga Bharati (USA) is excited to launch SDM which aims to educate citizens of an integrative approach to manage and prevent diabetes through yoga. The Yoga training sessions will be conducted by certified and experienced yoga teachers trained from S-VYASA (Swami Vivekananda Yoga Research Foundation, Bangalore) and local medical doctors. The objective of this program is to help individuals with pre-diabetes from becoming diabetic and to help diabetic individuals to control and manage their diabetic condition. Participants will practice postures and stretches and learn breathing exercises.
The SDM Programme will take place in two parts:
PART 1
9 Consecutive Days: Friday 24th January to Saturday 1st February, 2020
• Monday to Friday: 7:00pm to 9:00pm
• Saturday & Sunday: 8:00am to 12:00noon
*Includes doctor consult, BP, HbA1c
PART 2
12 Weekly Yoga Sessions
• February to April 2020 (Times and Locations TBD)
REGISTRATION FEE: $1500.00
The fee will go towards offsetting costs for laboratory tests and related programme expenses.
On successful completion of the full programme (part 1 and part 2) participants will be refunded $1000.00.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR SESSIONS:

Have your last heavy meal by 4pm (3 hrs before yoga practice) and/or light crackers by 5pm (up to 30 mins before practice)

Wear light, loose, comfortable long pants or high waisted leggings and comfortable tops or t-shirts to facilitate easy movement

Please arrive by 6:00pm on Friday 24th January 2020 for doctor consultation and blood work
